Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the following academic and linguistic requisites:
- Educational Qualification
- B.Sc. Agriculture (minimum 50% marks) with Horticulture as an elective or completion of an Experiential Learning Programme (ELP) in Horticulture.
- Alternatively, a B.Sc. in Horticulture from a recognized university.
- M.Sc. in Horticulture from a recognized institution is also acceptable.
- Language Proficiency
- Must have passed the Matriculation examination with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject or an equivalent examination recognized by the Punjab Government.
Age Criteria (as on 01-01-2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 37 years
Age Relaxation:
- Punjab Government employees, employees of Boards/Corporations/Commissions, and Central/State Government employees: up to 45 years.
- Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes of Punjab: up to 42 years.
- Ex-servicemen: Age deduction allowed as per service period, provided resultant age does not exceed max limit by more than three years.
- Widows, divorcees, and certain women categories: up to 42 years.
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD) of Punjab: up to 47 years.
