Introduction

The Intelligence Bureau (IB), one of India’s premier intelligence agencies under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has announced recruitment for 258 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade II / Technical (ACIO-II/Tech) posts. This recruitment provides an excellent opportunity for engineering and science graduates to join the national intelligence services in a technical role. Candidates with a B.Tech/B.E or Master’s degree in relevant fields, along with a qualifying GATE score, are eligible to apply. The IB ACIO II Tech Recruitment 2025 online application process will be open from 25th October 2025 to 16th November 2025, and selected candidates will be appointed with a Level 7 pay scale (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400) along with allowances and special security benefits.

Eligibility Criteria for IB ACIO II Tech Recruitment 2025

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have one of the following:

B.Tech / B.E in:
- Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Communication / Electrical & Electronics / Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Computer Science & Engineering (from a recognized University/Institute)
  AND qualifying GATE score (2023, 2024, or 2025) in:
- Electronics & Communication (EC)
- Computer Science & IT (CS)
OR Master’s Degree in:
- Science with Electronics or Physics with Electronics
- Electronics & Communication
- Computer Applications

Age Limit (as on 16-11-2025):

Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 27 years
Age relaxation as per government rules

Selection Process for IB ACIO II Tech Recruitment 2025

Interview: Assessment of subject knowledge & communication skills (175 marks)
