Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana: The Chief Minister of Punjab Sh. Bhagwant Mann launched Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana on 8 July, 2025. The benefits of the scheme is that every family can get free treatment up to 10 lakh annually, in particular the list of hospitals in Punjab. It is the upgradation of the previous 5 lakh scheme AB–MMSBY launched in august 20219.
He said every citizen of Punjab will get benefits of the scheme even if they are government employees or pensioners. The Past scheme is only for eligible persons.
Who’s covered Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana?
- All 3 crore residents of Punjab are eligible. No conditions apply like income, age, or gender.
- Even those already under Ayushman Bharat benefit; they receive an additional ₹5 lakh cashless treatment, bringing coverage to ₹10 lakh.
How does Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana work?
- Each family gets a digital health card, allowing cashless treatment at both government and listed private hospitals in Punjab.
- To get the card, only an Aadhaar card and Voter card is needed—no income proof, ration card required.
- Beneficiaries only present their Aadhaar + digital health card at hospitals—no advance payment needed to pay.

- Implement From: October 2, 2025 – health card registration camps across the state.
- Scheme included in the state budget 2025‑26 with an allocation of ₹778 crore.
Scope of coverage
- Covers over 2,000 treatments, including serious illnesses like heart, cancer, kidney diseases, surgeries, dialysis, joint replacements, etc.
- List includes 2000+ hospitals across Punjab—both public and private.
Supporting Infrastructure
- The State Health Agency Punjab launched a mobile app and website, enabling checking of eligibility, issuing digital health cards, and locating listed hospitals.
- Special enrollment camps like “Ayushman Apke Dwar” have been organized to increase reach.
Background & Earlier Phases
- This new ₹ 10 lakh scheme upgrade the earlier AB–MMSBY which offered ₹ 5 lakh and was launched in August 2019.
